Press Release: New Survey Measures the Impact of Child Care Counts Funding on Milwaukee Providers
The Milwaukee Succeeds-led ECE Coalition recently completed a citywide survey of child care providers in order to determine what impact Child Care Counts funding has had on the industry. The new data, which was released in a report titled “Making Every Dollar Count,” demonstrates the critical need for such funding, while also highlighting the concerns that still remain for providers.

Milwaukee Succeeds Signs on to Support Mental Health Awareness
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Mental Health America of WI and the MKE Mental Health Civic Action Team issued a press release calling on leaders, providers and policymakers to support increased mental health services for children and families. More than 35 individuals and community organizations, including Milwaukee Succeeds, signed on to help raise awareness of this critical issue.

In April, the Children’s Funding Project released a new report, recognizing Milwaukee Succeeds and the Milwaukee Early Childhood Education Coalition as key players in the ongoing efforts to stabilize the sector, bringing national attention to the two initiatives.

Milwaukee Succeeds set to launch Youth Coalition
On March 23 Milwaukee Succeeds will officially launch its youth coalition, Youth Forward MKE. The launch marks the first time that the coalition will be publicly stating their priorities, as well as their plans to impact education in Milwaukee and shift power to youth.
